Staff at After Hours has a deep commitment to the work they do, knowing that each service encounter can change someone’s life. They have extensive experience in the harm-reduction field and are dedicated to compassionate service for those who are in need. The staff at After Hours provides assistance in many languages, and is comprised of engaged members of the community.

Hector Quinones
Director of Social Services & Linkage to Care

Hector has worked in the field of HIV/AIDS for over seventeen years. He started with AHP in October 2011 as the Director of Social Services and Linkage to Care. Hector’s primary responsibility include supervision of HIV/STI testing, case management, linkage to care, medical transportation, treatment readiness, syringe exchange and Hepatitis C screening.

Prior to joining AHP, Hector served in a number of positions: National Hispanic HIV/AIDS Coordinator for the National HIV Testing Mobilization Campaign for the US Department of Health & Human Services, Office of HIV/AIDS Policy; Assistant Director of Health Education & Prevention for Settlement Health and Medical Services; Co-Chair of East Harlem and Williamsburg/Greenpoint/Bushwick HIV Care Networks; and community advisory board member of the Mental Health Committee of the North Brooklyn Health Care Network. He has trained at the National HIV Prevention Conference, at the Latino Commission on AIDS “Reunion Latina” and at local level in summits and health forums. Currently he is the Co-Chair of the Criminal Justice Committee of the NYS Prevention Planning Group.

Hector is a lifelong resident of Brooklyn.
