His non-judgmental approach and endearing qualities make him extremely effective in street outreach. He never intimidates, and he delivers services while having a simple conversation. Because of his mannerisms, he is approachable and asked for by name. Everyone knows Robert and the harm reduction message he conveys. Robert served in the U.S. Army with the Signal Corp. for seven years, stationed at bases in the United States, Korea, and Germany. While serving in Korea, he held the title of Non-Commissioned Officer in charge of addressing STDs, educating fellow soldiers about the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases.
