Elena Rotov

Naloxone/ HEP C Coordinator
The Naloxone/HEP C Coordinator manages and evaluates the Overdose Prevention Program and the HEP C program for the After Hours Project. She achieves this task by accompanying the outreach team several times a week and providing counseling and testing services for HIV/Hepatitis C and by conducting individual/Groups Narcan trainings to the community in our mobile units within the Brooklyn area. She educates people on how to protect themselves from exposure and how to get treatment if they have been exposed. When we have a Hepatitis C antibody client, it’s her job to help them to get further testing and treatment if they desire. She also conducts group training the agency provides to collaborating agencies/schools/shelters and interested community venues on how to use Naloxone (Narcan) to reverse an overdose and how and why overdoses occur.
